Most Strict Rule for College Entrance Exam Approaching in China
Even though student related to criminal offense might receive lighter sentence, to upgrade offense to crime is questionable.
Late June is the season for the national hight school final exam (also called College Entrance Exam) in China. Through this exam, senior high school student’s fate will be decided which college to go or whether he/she could continue to receive higher education. This season is a high pressure one for both students and their parents. All people who have experienced this exam know what that feeling was.
Because the result of the exam is so important, some students might want to take chance to cheat…Now newest amendment of Criminal Law has upgraded certain cheating behavior to crime according to Article 284, which includes organized cheating, assist to cheat, illegal selling or providing exam questions or answers, and substituting to take exam or asking a substitute to take exam. The highest sentence for this crime is up to 7 years. Except the last one, other behaviors listed usually are related to offender other than students.
